Industry Veterans Join iotum Board of Directors

New Directors Add Significant Worldwide Expertise to Rapidly Expanding Innovative Company

Toronto, ON — September 17, 2013 — Randall J. Howard, Chairman of iotum, today announced the appointment of two experienced CEOs bringing significant global expertise to iotum’s Board of Directors.

Effective immediately, longtime iotum investor and technology entrepreneur Jim Estill, Managing Partner of Canrock Ventures, joins the board, as does Majd Shweikeh, former CEO of Orange Mobile and well-known global telecom executive.

“I’m delighted with these two appointments,” said Howard. “These executives clearly embody iotum’s focus to innovate both on telecommunications and high tech industries.”

“This is part of the overall improvement of our governance,” said Howard. “After completing our acquisition of Freeconference.com this past spring and the substantially larger scale and global footprint of our enterprise, Majd and Jim will provide excellent counsel to us as we continue to grow.”

Estill is one of the most prolific angel Investors in North America and is a seasoned CEO. Canrock Ventures, Jericho, N.Y., is involved in creating, nurturing and incubating dozens of startup and growth businesses. Estill is also an advisor to OMERS Ventures in Toronto. He has led a number of nine-figure businesses, including EMJ and Synnex.

Shweikeh built her career as one of the Middle East’s most powerful businesswomen through leadership positions exclusively in the telecom sector. Her past positions include leadership and CEO positions at VTel Group, Orange and Itisaluna. She also served as President of the International Women’s Forum until June of this year. She has spoken at the World Economic Forum and G8 Deauville.

Estill and Shweikeh join iotum’s long-time members of the board, including Howard, company founder and well-known BlackBerry executive Alec Saunders, CEO Jason Martin and former Bell Conferencing President Gordon Forsythe.
